As the group gears up for The Fringe Festival as the second stop on the Get Ready Tour here in 2013, the boys did a few fun things with the local media. Along with an awesome photo shoot, a newspaper interview, a TV interview, and a meet and greet. All on a busy day of sound checks and getting word from home that The Exchange has been¬†nominated for three CARAs: Best Hip-Hop/Rap song for “Thrift Shop”, Best Soul/R&B song for “Payphone” and Best Holiday song for “See You Soon”.

See You Soon is an original song written by Christopher Diaz and recorded in the group’s home in Myrtle Beach, SC. Payphone is an R&B twist on the pop Maroon 5 song. Alfredo Austin’s styling on the lead gives it a soul feel that flips the original. Thrift Shop is an all vocal remake of the popular Macklemore song. It was done just for fun by Richard Steighner ¬†but became a legitimate number out of some experimentation.

Thank you to Theo Fakos for a fun photo shoot and to the awesome crew with Fringe who put it all together. Check out some shots Theo snapped that ended up in the paper!
